Essential Settings for Samsung Android 6.x Guide

These settings must be configured appropriately to keep the application (client app) working.

Battery Settings

1. Settings > Battery > Power saving > Power saving mode & Ultra power saving mode (1,2)
   Set to “OFF”

    

   
   

2. Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE > 3-Dot Menu button > Optimize battery usage – All apps > System Service (1,2,3)
   Set to “OFF”

    

   
   

Background App Setting

Notice: Smart Manager is currently available for Samsung Galaxy S® 6 devices from T-Mobile, US Cellular, and MetroPCS.

1. Smart Manager > RAM > Background Apps > System Service – END ALL (1,2,3,4)
   Not Allow

   
   

2. Smart Manager > RAM > AUTO RUN APPS > System Service – Do not optimize (1,2,5)
   Set to “ON"
3. Smart Manager > RAM > AUTO RUN APPS > OPTIMIZE DELAY > Select auto power saving delay – Do not optimize (1,2,3,4)
   Set to “ON”

   
   

Other Settings

You don't need to change these settings by default. But they will affect the application functions if changed by the user.

Data Usage

1. Settings > Data usage > 3-Dot Menu button > Restrict background data (1,2,3)
   Set to “Turn off Restrict background data”.

    

   
   

2. Settings > Data usage > MOBILE > Set mobile data limit (1,2,3)
   Set to “OFF”

    

   
   

3. Settings > Data usage > WLAN > System Service > Application data usage > Restrict background data (1,2,3,4)
   Set to “OFF”

    

   
   

App Permissions

Settings > Application manager > System Service > App info – Permissions > App Permissions(1,2,3)
Allow all permissions
